nature has always been a source of awe and inspiration in my life. it's the place i see and experience God most clearly. if that experience were able to move from my heart to a song, this would be it.

take heart
John 16:33 (NIV)
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
I was reminded of this verse Thursday night when I went to see Hillsong at Lipscomb with the Medders and Jules. It is so powerful and so encouraging! It doesn't promise ease in this life, but it does promise peace through Jesus. Triumph! Victory! More simply put...Love.

bind my wandering heart to thee
oldie but goodie. the perfect prayer for today. thank you, sufjan, for the reminder.
lyrics:
Come Thou Fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it,
Mount of God's unchanging love.
Here I raise my Ebenezer;
Hither by Thy help I'm come;
And I hope, by Thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed His precious blood.
O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I'm constrained to be!
Let that grace now like a fetter,
Bind my wandering heart to Thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here's my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above.

all about chemistry
1. mix 4 talented musicians in a beaker.
2. add 2 amateur but amazing nerds.
3. place beaker on bunsen burner and turn on the heat.
4. slowly pour in 2 video masterminds, 1 stylist, 2 wives and a security guard.
5. after all above elements have been combined, remove beaker for cooling
6. add a dash of laughter and friendship
7. enjoy the refreshing compound known as "gentle giant"

a product of the nobility
